The following terms constitute a sales agreement between the seller, Merle Evans
and buyer,
______________________ regarding the French Bulldog as described. These terms
are entered
into and agreed upon by all parties.
Therefore it is agreed:
1) This puppy is sold as a (pet-companion/show prospect) for the sum of:
_________________, with the puppy to remain in the custody of the seller until
the full amount
has been paid. A deposit of __________ will be paid at the time of signing. This
contract will
serve as a receipt for that a non-refundable deposit. However, if the puppy/dog
should turn out
not to be available, for any reason, this deposit will be refunded. Shipping
charges and the crate
are the responsibility of the buyer. The total price is due in certified funds
prior to shipment.
A. Upon receipt of full payment on this contract, seller will transfer ownership
rights of this pup
to the buyer.

B. This puppy is a purebred French Bulldog and is eligible for limited
registration with
the American Kennel Club. Proof of neuter/spay must be sent to breeder by 6
months of age.
Proof must be from a licensed veterinarian AND MUST INCLUDE MICROCHIP #.
2) This puppy is sold first and foremost as a member of the buyer's family and
shall live
in the buyer's home or other suitable (a/c and heated) facility owned by the
buyer.
3) If for any reason during the life of this dog the buyer is unable to keep
this dog, the
buyer is to advise the seller and give the seller first right of refusal on the
purchase of
the dog at a dollar amount not to exceed the original purchase price. At no time
will
the buyer give or sell this dog to any pet shop, breeding farm, puppy broker, or
any
entity engaged in animal research. For no reason should the dog be placed in an
animal shelter, humane society, or similar facility.
HEALTH GUARANTEE
This puppy is sold with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian who
examined the dog.
To the seller's knowledge, this dog is free of contagious disease and has been
delivered to the
buyer with inoculations and worming appropriate for its age.
At the buyer's expense, the puppy will be taken to the buyer's own veterinarian
within 72 hours
of his possession of the dog. The buyer has the privilege of returning the dog
to the seller for a
refund within that time period if the vet certifies through diagnostic
evaluation and evidences
such that the dog is suffering from a debilitating illness. Any and all shipping
charges are the
responsibility of the buyer.
1) On a full replacement, this pup would be returned to the seller with AKC
registration
documents transferring full ownership to the seller.
2) Should this pup develop any debilitating genetic/hereditary disorder that
will
prohibit the animal from living a normal life as a pet, the seller would replace
the
puppy, with a pup from the first available litter, with a pup of equal value,
under the
following conditions:
The buyer will either provide the seller and her veterinarian with the necessary
documentation; test results, written veterinary diagnosis, etc. or this pup will
be
returned to the seller (seller's option, and expense) for appropriate veterinary
examination and/or "genetic" diagnostic evaluation prior to replacement.
The purchasers are aware this breed was developed as a dwarfed canine and
therefore the
skeletal structure and respiratory system may not be typical of other canines.
This warranty is
intended to consider serious genetic defects that may significantly impair the
quality of the life of
the dog. It is not intended to cover mere cosmetic faults or weaknesses listed
in the AKC
standard for the breed.
Should this pup develop any debilitating genetic/hereditary disorder by the age
of 1- year that
would prohibit the animal from living a life as a pet, the seller would replace
the puppy, with a
pup from the next available litter, with a pup of equal value, under the
following conditions:
1) The buyer will provide the seller and her Veterinarian with the necessary
documentation; test results, written Veterinary diagnosis, etc. or this pup will
be
returned to the seller (seller’s option and expense) for appropriate veterinary
examination and/or “genetic” diagnostic evaluation prior to replacement.
2) If this puppy dies due to a “genetic” condition by one year of age, the
seller
would replace the puppy under the following conditions:
A. A necropsy must be performed on the animal, by a licensed Veterinarian,
and the report must be forwarded to the seller and her Vet for review.
B. Provided the seller’s Vet concurs from the necropsy report that the cause
of death was due to a genetic condition, the seller will replace the animal.
For no reason will this dog be euthanized, without prior written approval of the
Seller, unless
the dog is desperately ill or injured and there is no hope of recovery and there
is no time to
consult the Seller
PLEASE NOTE: Heartworm preventative: Heartworm is a parasite spread by
mosquitoes.
There is virtually no part of the United States where it does not exist.
Although the cost of
heartworm preventative may seem high, the cost of treating a dog that has become
infected is
extremely expensive. This treatment is also very hard on a dog - much like
chemotherapy for
cancer. Seller will not consider selling a dog to a home that will not assure
prevention
heartworms. Buyer agrees to provide proper heartworm prevention medication for
the life of
the dog.
All Warranties are for REPLACEMENT and/or CREDIT only and not for REFUND OF
purchase
price in whole or in part nor for REIMBURSEMENT of medical/veterinary expenses
in whole or
in part. Shipping of replacement puppy is not covered by warranty. Replacement
puppy will be
shipped at buyer’s expense.
